I always wanted to form my own band of nomadic wanderers who would go town to town, never to settle down. The question is would you join? The other questions; what problems would the band and I would face? How would I solve them.

For the longest time, I considered this half-heartedly, yet if I get enough people to answer I will figure a way to get it started and work out all issues.
Working on problems as I go will not work, for failing to plan is surely planning to fail. In my experience, planned actions are more effective then unplanned ones.
The issues you have stated here are issues I have thought of also. Stuff such as employment, group unity and what ever else you can think of. However I am looking for answers that address these issues in detail. The people who come up with the best plans and solutions and problems not so obvious would be highly considered in helping me plan this endeavor.

I used the word gypsies because I could not find a better word to describe what I was thinking. What I meant by it is not actually gypsies but a band of organized Perpetual travelers and gypsies best fit this description.

Seems like I picked the wrong choice of words for this question. When I said gypsies, people thought of horse drawn carraiges and the like. I was thinking of something a bit more MODERN and able to adopt to the present. The gypsies of the past and their old-world lifestyle would not fit into today's modern world. Horses on a highway with a speed limit of 70 MPH (for an example) would not simply work. I also picked the word for it was a commonly understood word and was the closest I could come up with to exspress my meaning, which was an organized culture and society that traveled constantly.
The more accurate term I believe would be perpetual traveler or Dispora culture. Both words' definitions are not commonly understood, thus would have reduced my chances for a response from the yahoo answering public. There fore this question is closed.

Oh, I'd come! I'm Swedish, so roaming is in my blood. I'm descended from Vikingr. Cool, no?
Problems? Scandinavians don't take no problems from no one! Find a few more Scandinavians to join and anyone who messes with us, we'll just go viking on them, burn the place down and then make them pay us to leave.
Hey, it worked on the French for over 200 years...

Says "Oh! Oh!" and raises her hand :)
I guess it would depend upon where one lived. I've been to Ireland a couple of times, and gypsies are a fact of life there. I am guessing that a "band of roving gypsies" would get a very poor reception in the U.S.
Finances are the most obvious problem. Our band of gypsies would need to do honest work for an honest days' pay (we don't want to get a bad reputation!) and that would probably involve some type of migrant work such as harvesting crops, construction, etc. Our alternative would be to recruit a very wealthy gypsy, or a benefactor that would allow us to spend his or her money, and in all probability, I see little likelihood of that happening.
I'd like to see our band leave everything better than we found it, in some way. Perhaps help out the poor and/or elderly in each town we stay in, plant flowers in parks, that sort of thing. That way, we'll be welcome when we move on!
The thing is that, deservedly or not, gypsies don't have the greatest reputations. There are good people and bad in every group of human beings, but I'm sure you're aware of the prejudice against them. So in the end, maybe just dreaming about living a gypsy's life might be the best.

Definately...no clue where you are, but I am in the US.
Well- I will only go if we can get horses to pull the carts (I can offer mine, lol- she is a gypsy drum horse, and I have a foal out of her and a stallion from the Queen of England's stables)
Horses would solve the gas problem- could just park your horse on the side of the road and let it eat.
Other problems: bad reputations- how are we earning money? Playing instruments and erotic dancing doesn;t get you anywhere financially...they can go for free to the strip club.
I honestly do not know if it is possible to be a true roaming band- you would probably need a bank account- if you carried all of your money with you, you would probably get robbed at gun point. Then there are medical expenses and everything like that.

i'd make my band play a mixture of Melodic demise metallic and potential metallic. i will be the lead singer who would commerce from screaming to making a music. properly, in case you 2 both have some musical skills, then i'm particular that you'll come across a fashion to paintings issues out. basically ask her if she will be attracted to forming a authentic band. It should not be that troublesome, believe me.

Sounds like fun.
Problems..
money to eat and gasoline, cleanliness issues, trust among yourselves, fear of communities.
You'll have to solve them as you go.
