Determine what your area is going to be--actress,director, producer,writer or wardrober or a goffer. Each area has different associations calll and get brochures and career information.

Do u mean like acting or directing?
For both, go to a film school (UCLA, USC, or NYU) and get a degree in film. GEt noticed by working on a good film
If you're under 18 I doubt you will not get into the film business until u are out of college and have a degree.

This the the time of year to go out to Hollywood for TV pilots (TV isn't a bad place to jump-start your career) that will be shot to air in the fall.
Get yourself some representation first, however. It's tough to get auditions if you don't have a liasion.

Get an agent. Without an agent, you will get no where in the movie business.

Go to a drugstore on Hollywood Blvd and hope a producer walks in and discovers you.
Or you could go to acting school, wait tables, starve for a while, then go to a thousand auditions and pray to God.

www.youtube.com is the way i would go as a starting point. Make some cheap 20 mintute film, and see what kind of resposne it gets....
