Fuel pump is in the gas tank. Fuel leaking in engine compartment wouldn't have anything to do with new fuel pump. Check fuel lines under the hood, and lines running along frame rails, as well as fuel filter.

I would assume that a fuel line is leaking or the fuel pump that got put on is not the correct pump like someone else said you might need the fuel pump made by Chrysler since it is a Daimler Chrysler product. Come to think of it again if a fuel is leaking by the engine it might be a bad fuel line stop driving it until you can get it checked one spark and boom your finished if not your car is.

The other answers are bull. A bad cat wont make your car leak gas. And replaceing the fuel pump with say an aftermarket one other then the factory again will not make it leak.
Check the fuel lines where thy connect eather to the fuel rail or the throttle boddy. It sounds like eather the connection is loose or you sproung a leak in the hose.

I would get a light and trace the fuel leak. i would not run the car for very long, just enough to get the leak to start and turn the engine off. When the engine is off and the leak started, find it.

Check the o-rings on your fuel rail/injectors. My jeep is evil that way, too. they are cheap to replace, and fairly easy if you like skinning your knuckles. also, if you have a mechanically inclined friend/neighbor/coworker, have them check your pump to see if it fits properly. Gas+hot engine=not so fun.

Sounds like a loose hose connected to your new fuel pump.
Start your jeep and have a look underneath...you'll see exactly where it's leaking from.

You might want to check your hose clamps, maybe one of them is loose. Also check your hoses to make sure none of those things are dry rotted and leaking. They may need replacing as well.
