I thought I had pushed the timer button. The display doesn't even light up. No time, no exhaust fan...nothing. We can't find my manual nor can we find a reset button. It's a Kenmore Elite microhood and I loved it til I killed it! Please help!

Don't conclude that you killed it until you have plugged it into a different circuit.

If you have committed microwavicide, resurrection is usually possible through sears.com, independent appliance repairmen, or your own efforts if you are handy enough.

Just one thing... a microwave won't heat up without any food so how could you have "fried" it? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microwave_oven
You may have stressed out the magnetron-25 minutes is a LONG time for a microwave. I would let it "cool down" for a few hours (maybe overnight) and check the outlet in the mean time. It is very likely that you simply blew the cicuit and you just need to go downstairs and reset it!

You most likely fried it.
Home Depot $299 replace your exhaust hood with a combo unit.
$50 delivery that is rebated back to you and $19.99 to install.
Just in case you wanted a jump on shopping for a new one.

You probably burnt it up!! put a cup of cold water in there, set for 1 min. if nothing happens, spring for a new microwave

Unless you have a warranty you're pretty much screwed.... But now adays you can pick one up for $50.00 dollars or less... One dose'nt realize what a necessity those little ovens are until they die... good luck
