The Brandenburg Concertos
The Cello Suites
The Goldberg Variations
The St. Matthew Passion
The 20 volumes of organ music.
The 48 Preludes and Fugues.

His mastery of the contrapuntle will never be bettered, and his harmonies were shocking at the time, and still sound fresh today.
You only have to look at his harmonisations in the Reimenschneider to see he was an unsurpassed genius.

He was an utter genius. I would place him in the top 4, along with Beethoven, Handel, and Mozart. But I prefer Beethoven to Bach, although Bach was great too! I would say that Beethoven is the most famous and popular, and Mozart and Beethoven was the most ingenious. I would place Bach and Handel next, and very high in passion.

You could consider him to be. The era of baroque music ended the day he died. He outperformed anybody of his time.

But beore you say he is the best composer of all time, you must consider composers from other eras, especially Wolfgang Amadeur Mozart.
