I'd like to do a professional quality job on my car at home. What products are the best and in what order should I clean my car (outside, inside, glass, ect.)? Any tips or secrets that'll help?

Thanks!

-First sprinkle water on your car to loosen and wash away soil.
-Next with a wet washing mit and car wash soap wash your car.
-Next rinse off the soap.
-Use a microfiber or a drying towel to dry car.
-Spray Meguiar's Quik Detailer on car surface and on Meguiar's Clay Bar.
-Rub Meguiar's Clay Bar on car to remove contaminants.
-Use microfiber towel to wipe off the Quick Detailer.
-Using in a circular motion, rub some pads with Meguiar's Deep -Polish into car surface and wipe off with microfiber towel.
-Rub wax like Meguiar's Gold Class Wax with another pad. -Remove wax in circular motion with microfiber towel.

*By claying, and then polishing, the waxing should come off a lot easier.

*Don't let bird poop stay on your paint too long. Wipe it off the earlier you can as it is a contaminant.

*The more you wash the car, the more you wash away the wax and clear coat. Try to not wash your car as often. Try to avoid rain if possible. If you do run into rain after your wax/detail job, you can quickly wipe off rain and spray Meguiar's Quik Wax for a quick restauration of your detail/wax job.

*This should bring out the deepness of the color of your car and make the surface really smooth and help remove swirls.

She probably took about ten minutes to realise that £30 was not enough - tempting although it seems, you should never settle with cash without a written & signed disclaimer - however, if she accepted the money & only has your registration number, then she'll have difficulty explaining to her insurer how she hasn't got your details. The problem is that she has a witness, so I don't really know what to advise: Either sit it out & see what happens, or make a call to your insurer and pre - empt her doing anything further - just say there was no damage & the other party went away happy. Don't mention the cash. The current 'where there's a blame' culture means it's virtually guaranteed that she'll claim for whiplash anyway - she has up to three years to do so, and that's a long time to be worrying!

Well theres many ways to detail a car. Some people do everything by hand and some people use buffing machines which must be used properly or else you could harm your paint. I first did mine by hand and it did take alot long but now ive got a buffer and the different pads needed to do everything. But if waxing, you should always use a clay kit which they sell at any auto parts store, claying removes any containment's from the paint before you use a paint cleaner and polish, then you seal the finish with a good wax

I used to detail cars and the 1 tip I can give you is.....use a small paint brush to get the dust out of the vents and other small places in the interior of your car....it works great.
