It personally doesn't matter to me, but it's hard to believe with the blonde hair, fair skin and blue eyes but who knows. Oh and Micheal Jackson doesn't belong to any race anymore, he has his own now.

Ultimately we all have African ancestors. Besides the fact that the concept of race has no real scientific basis. But to get to the point of your question, I think it is dangerous to draw definitive conclusions about a person's ancestry based only on the surname. Surnames are inherited through only one parent per generation and therefore might not reflect the person's ancestry. Also, surnames were very often changed when people migrated to the US, either because immigration workers had little knowledge of foreign languages and alphabets, or because workers encouraged people to change their names to sound more American. A lot of people have and still do change their surnames for professional reasons or to otherwise avoid discrimination. And let us not forget that conquered peoples sometimes take the names of their conquerors. For example, when the natives of Mexico converted to Christianity, they were given "Christian" names, which were in reality Spanish names. Many freed slaves in America also kept the surnames of their former masters. In my opinion, the only way to figure out Heather Locklear's heritage is to research Heather Locklear's heritage!
