Oh, my hubby says every Grisham book has been nearly his favorite or had becaome his favorite after reading it.

The Client. It was the first one I read, and the least tedius. I find Grisham dull overall, due to his tendecy to describe everything to death, but The Client was able to hold my attention. It was the only reason I read other novels of his. His other novels I disliked. If they were half the length, they'd be loads more readable.

Well, it would have to be the one where the hero was a righteous southern attorney fresh out of law school fighting a big powerful enemy in the bigoted south.
Oh wait, that describes almost all of his books.

I can't decide between the Firm and a Time to Kill. The Brethren and the Runaway Jury are also good books. i wouldn't recommend reading the Appeal. Very boring.

the first I read was The Client, which has remained a favorite, but the other book of his that I enjoy as much is The Testament.
