So Democrats try to make the country's economy work like a socialist country's. At the same time Republican's trample rights and build a fascist war machine. When will they figure out that neither of them have any idea what democracy is really about?

When about 100,000,000 other Americans realize what you have - that the 2 parties are extraconstitutional impediments the effective governance - we will stand a chance. Until then we are screwed.

As an independent, I will be very happy if you call me undemocratic. The elitist school system fosters the idea that this is a democracy and that this is a good thing. Not so! The problem with a democracy is that most people are easily bamboozled; the elitists want that system so they can easily manipulate the citizens. Adolph Hitler and Hugo Chavez were democratically elected and we know how that turned out. What we have instead is a constitutionally limited elective republic, where we elect representatives who are legally bound to respect the limits of the constitution. Unfortunately, since this also limits the politicians' power, most of them ignore their oaths. Only about a hundred Republicans and maybe a dozen Democrats in the House respect their oaths, and certainly not the President. The further we let this situation go, the nastier will be the accounting. As for fascist war machine, you should keep some things in mind. One, providing for our defense is one of the few legitimate functions (unlike 85% of the rest) of our government, without which we would be speaking German, Japanese, or Russian and otherwise in a world of hurt, including not having the freedom to say stupid things. Two, without this "fascist" machine over there pounding hell out of the bad guys, the bad guys will most assured be over here pounding hell out of noncombatants, like you, and hiding behind presumed "rights" in our thoroughly corrupted courts which only citizens are entitled to. If that happens, it will become very expensive.

It is clear you have seen thru the facade. What you have to ask is what decisions are made the same under any administration and then you know who runs this country. What ideas are perpetuated regardless of Dem/Rep control. Thats the key to getting past all the baloney.
