When Alan Shepard the first U S man in space he was going to just go up for 15 minutes but he sat in the capsule for like 14 hours before launch. they had not made any kind of provisions for that yet so he had to get permission to go in the suit they finally let him go in the suit with no diaper on

Are we talking about in a space capsule or on a shuttle or
space station?

In a space capsule, I believe they have a catheter device and it is
made in such a way that they go in their suits.

As to the shuttle or space station, they have zero g toilets.
The waste is later brought back to earth.

There is a special vacuum operated space toilet for use in weightless conditions on the space craft. For emergencies they have diapers and little plastic bags.
