Do you ever defamiliarize life for yourself?

When we are young, the world is a strange and wonderful place.

When many people grow up, it is a familiar place and they think about wonders much less. To them, the most wonderful things are security and easy living because these two things occupy their minds most of the time.

Some of us manage to escape this boxed-in realm. Either through education or through some form of romantic love, we open our imaginations again and defamiliarize the universe. We return to childhood, only this time with new powers of understanding attained through our life experiences.
