This is not enough information. My guess woudl be to reinstall MS Word. Or try opening Excel and from the Help menu Choose Detect and Repair. That will repair the whole Office suite.

There is a free alternative to Microsoft Word that CAN use .doc files
It is called Open Office: http://www.openoffice.org/

It has a full suite of programs that are just like the Microsoft ones and CAN use all the microsoft formats

I hope this helps!,

try using wordpad for now. You can also do a search on your computer and look for ms word. Click on start and then search all drives

Re-install the program from the CD
You can also go to their website and download the free "viewer". You won't be able to change the documents, but you would be able to view and print them.
