new world monkeys have a prehensile tail and nostrils that open to the sides, old world monkeys lack a prehensile tail and their nostrils open downward.
both are dinural (active during the day) and live in bands held together by social behaviour.

its hard to say. apart from geographical difference, old world monkey is bigger in size generally.and colour duller.
