He disagrees with Professor Berns ON the idea of the death penalty (People from the country where I am from also make this mistake, I mean using the wrong preposition -it goes naturally!)
-You should not put a comma there because you do not really want to separate something important from the rest of the phrase. Also, you can disagree with someone, not something.

In which case then executions should be done in public?
...In what case, then, executions should be done in public?
(When you use which you mean that you have to chose a case among stated/mentioned cases, but now you do not know much, you only want to know of what type the case of public execution should be. "Then" is part of another thought (the thought of comparing or connecting the previous phrase with the question.. I could explain it if I had the context)
OOPS, if it is a question, then it should be
"In what case, then, should executions be done in public?" (inversion)

First sentence- Take out the comma and the word with if those two things are the only thing being disagreed with. It should be He disagrees with Professor Berns and the idea of the death penalty. If there is more to the sentence, than remove the word with after the comma.

Second sentence- Remove the word then (it should have been than fyi).

i think better wording on " He disagrees with Profesor Bertns, with the idea of the death penalty" would be to use on instead of with but for the other one i don't know sorry

On the fist one...ommit the comma.

Thus, executions should be done in public.

He disagrees, with prof. Bern's, that the idea.....

In which case, the executions.......

your which is the correct witch/which...why there is a mark on that i dunno
