How do I let him know I like him? How do I know if he likes me?

I'm 13 and he's my first crush. I'm good friends with him but not super great friends, and I have no idea weather he likes me or not. He's really funny and is one of the few guys at my school who aren't jerks.

He's really popular and people love to be around him and I sometimes get jealous when he pays more attention to others than me.

He and I [who are in 8th grade] and his brother and my friend [who are in 7th grade] sometimes get together and hang out to watch movies and play games and stuff.

Our bus is like a little family and there is an unwritten seating chart that everyone knows and he sits next to me everyday.

There's no possible way I can just go up and tell him, but I want to make it somewhat obvious but not too obvious that I like him. But how? And how do I figure out if he likes me more than a friend without asking/getting someone else to ask him?

hi...i know you ....hello monkey girl...ok well i have the perfect solution to this, just tell him. now i know that you sed you didnt want to do that, but its really not hard. I always tell guys i like them and so far nothing has turned out good, but if he doesnt like you back, he isnt worth it. wouldnt you rather be with someone you cares about you than someone you just like but really doesnt give a crap? just tell him, and his reaction will tell you if hes even worth it...
