does anyone know how to remove "pit stains" from shirts?

i've used stain stick and washed them a bazillion times. any other useful insight? thanks!

baking soda and lemon juice
soak it for a bit then wash

Or bicarbonate of soda, a good load in with the powder when you wash the clothes.

Apart from that I would say a flippin good deodorant, Mitchum for men is fab, supposed to last 48 hours, although I've not risked that ;)
