Considering that the PS3 is out now, the value is lower for PS2 games because everyone is selling off their PS2 stuff. I would say that unless it is a sports game(which will get you between $.25 and $1 unless it is the 2007 game), you will get between 12 and 25% of the resale value of the game. Your best bet is to ALWAYS sell over ebay or craigslist or something other than a game store. Selling to friends isn't a bad idea. Even $8 for an old game you don't play is better than getting $1 from a company that will turn around and sell it for $20.

it's always a crap shoot bc they always take in some many thing how old the game is, how rare the game is, how well dose it work, I remember I bought that game for the xbox that sold as much as the xbox when it first came out and all I got was $100. to give you any idea on what you might get and bleave it or not if you give them a really rare game they might give you 20 to 30 bucks and turn around and sell it for 65 to 75 oh and Eb games is now own by gameStop

a maximum or $20 dollars, and that's if you have a limited edition freaking awesome game. an average of maybe five dollars for just any old game. Hits like Jak and Daxter can get up to ten dollars. Only with a limited game can you get above ten. I would suggest selling to GameStop insted. They have higher trade in rates.

I believe they give you 25% of 'new value'.

Example
New game for sale in EB is $100, they will give you $25 if you trade the same title in.
