when i was little i read this book. it was my favorite and i want to read it again, but i can't remember what it was. it was about this boy and he like started drawing something and then he like went into the story that he drew and there were like monsters or something. and no it wasn't Harold and the Purple Crayon or whatever that one is. thanks... i appreciate it.

Maybe you're thinking of Where the Wild Things Are, but Max doesn't draw. It does have monsters.

"Simon in the Land of Chalk Drawings"?
It was an animated short on Captain Kangaroo. I don't know if there was a book, but he had a song:
"Well you know my Simon
And the things I draw come true
Oh my pictures take me, take me, take me ..."
[I forget the last line]
One time he drew a picture of himself angry and the angry chalk drawing went on a rampage.
