It's the unmistakeable aroma of stale urine as spiced with urinal disinfectant cake.
It's to be expected - you try keeping the aim true when trying to beat the school's "highest piss" record. There's bound to be a bit of spillage that doesn't make it's way into sewerage.
When ladies get urinals, in conjunction with a rabid sporting instinct, then they are likely to achieve the same "bouquet" in their own facilities.

It is actually those odd soaps they keep in the urinal to stop them smelling, they would still smell but not as bad as they do!
But even stranger is mens toilets stink but womens toliets are filthy too! Blood on the seats, tissue all over the floor then in a club towards the end of the night! Oh my gosh!! 6 of 1 half a dozen of the other.

Badly designed urinals and idiots who can't aim. I never use public ones, it's not just the smell; especially in a bar - you see people in there who walk away without washing hands. These people touch everything you touch, the door handle, the pool cues, the juke box eeeeewwwww!
But I will add this, I have it on a females account that females toilets are messier when it comes to loo paper not reaching the loo and sanitary towels etc.

Are you kinda saying that women's bathrooms DON'T stink?? Cause I've cleaned both men and women's bathrooms as a custodian and the women's were ALWAYS much nastier. And, yes they stink also. Needless to say I didn't do that very long..
This sounds like a loaded question...or rather a un-loaded...one

I live in my house with 3 boys and my husband and trust me if I didn't clean the toilets thoroughly they would smell the same
Men spray it everywhere and very often then not don't even hit the toilet.........sometimes its is hard to aim and it shoots off in another direction
