Other than having the troops home by 08, I haven't heard a damn thing from this guys face to convince me that he is the guy for the job. He hasn't said what state of disaster he would leave Iraq in, when the troops do pull out, either.
I believe that any politician who claims that he can withdraw our troops by such in such a date, without a solid game plan to accompany his promises, is a liar and a fool! Any lemming that would believe that crap, is a bigger fool!
I believe everyone is enamored by this guys ability to talk, especially since he is black. Everyone is eager to show their apologies for slavery by embracing the first smooth talking black politician that comes along. Hell, Jesse Jackson was a shoe in for the job except know one could understand the man when he talked.
For my part, I'm a Yankee and my ancestors fought in the Union army, so I make no apologies for slavery. Having said that, I need to see something with substance from Obama, Clinton, and any other wannabe, before I'm ready to line up behind the candidate!

Many have noted the comparison... young, educated, charismatic, pretty and highly educated wife. The big difference is Jack Kennedy did not have to dig into his own pockets .... his dad had very deep pockets and helped buy the White House. Just as America might be bracing for its first black president, at the time Jack was elected, there had never been an Irish Catholic president. Irish was still a very gutteral term not accepted in many social circles... and many questioned his religious views. So, yes, like Jack Kennedy, Barack is in for ground breaking terrority. Much to the dismay and apprehension from the Clinton camp.

Certainly, another Freshman Senator with no leadership experience is just what we need right now (sarcasm intended). Don't forget that Kennedy was the last President we had that came directly out of the Senate and he was a disaster so I expect nothing more from Obama. The Senate is not a good training ground for Presidents. It's not even a good training ground for humans.

Not unless he uses a ghost writer - which I doubt. Not unless he's merely a glib manipulator - which I also doubt. Not unless he's from a family of bootleggers and grafters - which I doubt.

Who said he is charismatic and/or eloquent?
You are being brain washed by the liberals who are trying to begin a movement.
