People can be very judgemental. They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I am a firm believer in this. Good on you for not judging people by their external appearance!

People judge people all the time. We all do it from experiences we have. People can be over weight for a lot of reasons. After baby weight, depression, thyroid problems, etc
I look at a pink skinned northern accented bloke and think he's probably a p*ss head. We all judge - rightly or wrongly...

I think that the media has a lot to do with it. When looking all the shows and sitcom's that are on TV these days, all you see are thin people. Every other commercial or infomercial that we see is some diet or exercise related item that is sure to cure our obesity problems. The only large people on TV that I remember seeing were Rosanne Conner (Barr) and Mimi on The Drew Carey Show. They weren't exactly the Mrs. Brady look now, were they? They were portrayed as obnoxious and loud mouthed. This is why all of us "full-figured" women aren't given the respect that we deserve.

You probably dont judge people by their weight, but do you judge them by something else? race or what they look like (apart from weight)
edit: in response to the post above mine, do you not realise skinny people are also unhealthy....... being underweight is extremely bad for your health and looks just as disgusting as being overweight.

I once was thin and girls liked me. Now I'm fat and they don't. Fat people are ugly, they smell funny and they take up too much space. They can't go to the shop without panting and sweating and they get manky skin rashes in their big fatty folds. All their clothes look shite, especially if they try to wear the stuff they used to wear when they were thin. They also buy clothes in sizes that are too small because they don't like to admit to themselves that they are as fat as they are. Fat is not OK. I don't believe that any fat person would not prefer to be thin. This is why people judge fat people harshly. They have a point. If fatness looked cool, magazines would be full of sweaty, rashy, red-faced bloaters. They are not. They are full of beautiful pale skinny creatures. This is how it should be.

In most cases its caused by pure greed!! However, some people's weight is due to steroids they're on for illnesses etc, and this is unfortunate...

Probably goes phycologically to the fact that overeaters and undereaters are unhappy and unhealthy for whatever reason. It's weird though, as comments will make that worse! xx

I don't think they do, although many people are judged on looks, age and wealth.

No, dont be angry. I think our girls are really a bit over-weight and over-weight could mean ugly.
