I sing because it makes me happy, I sing in church and I feel good about the fact that God has blessed me to be able to, that is when I feel alive and useful in this dreadful world today.

Its a form of self expression for me. I'm not professional standard but I sing for my own enjoyment and my baby likes to hear me sing to him too.

It depends on my mood what songs I listen to. But I know this: no matter if I am sad or happy or angry or whatever it helps me to vent.
When I am angry you should see me crank up the tunes and scream out some lyrics! LOL
