Reading some of the post, I assume that some feel that the old American hate group speaks for them.

I think that the KKK has played a great role in American history. They have kept the blacks and jews in their place for years. Now with their numbers shrinking, you see more and more whites and blacks turning out a tan race, much like a dove and a crow only the animal species has more sense then to breed outside of their kind. Don't make snap judgements against the KKK until you have seen Birth of a Nation or have visited the KKK website.

I'm sure you where reading something that only told half truths if you knew the real reason the klan started you would think other wise but now they do not stand for what they did when they first started it is now about hate but when it started it was to protect the wifes and and land of the dead confedaret soldiers against carpet baggers and freed slaves who where robbing and killing and stealing from these women who could not defend them selfs now they are bunch of nazi's wich is none american the time of klan the should have ended along time ago but when it was started it had a good reason just think of your home being burned and women raped and kidnaped evan from thows who had just stood beside you and killed

My thought is that everyone plays a role in America, it is who we are. We are the melting pot, we are the ones who supposedly have the most tolerance for all races and religions. Do I believe in the KKK? Absolutely not, but I do feel that they have a role in America. Like it or not.

no it doesnt. one might say that the LAPD are the new KKK. look there is a good chance that the next president is black so there is no way the KKK has a role anymore. Once Bush gets out of office (in 2 years, thank god), the KKK will be done as he is there leader. Did i say that out loud?

No, it does not have a role to play in modern America. It belongs in the history books as an example of how ignorance, hate and fear can lead people to behave stupidly!
