Feel free to step outside of the NFL's figurative "ray gun" and experience some sporting experiences that are not cookie cutter and largely devoid of any discernible emotion.
For example, the Vermont-Albany college basketball game today or Chicago-Columbus NHL tilt that is nearing completion both have seemed infinitely more interesting than that yawner of a Super Bowl and the majority of professional football contests that preceded it.
In case you have not guessed, I am a much larger college football fan that a pro supporter, and urge all those out there to experience football with pageantry, passion and, above all, fun; elements long absent from the NFL's brand of football the last 5-10 years.

Yeah, these 3-4 weeks between the Pro Bowl and spring training games starting is real depressing. I mean they have like hockey on and stuff and occasionally a good NBA game.

all of you people who hate football, find a different section to infiltrate.
I totally agree, I can't figure out what to do with my time, I might actually be productive on weekends now though. I wish the season was longer.

Well, gather up your rotten fruit, because I HATE FOOTBALL! Think of home improvement this way: CASH! Ca-ching! Does watching football get you that? No. LISTEN TO YOUR WIFE! It will make her HAPPY! I love some shows too, like that hot chick, Buffy, and the X-files, but it never paid me a dime! *groannnn*......
P.S. I'm sorry but I just read the guy above: "Vermont-Albany"???That is just sad! Nobody watches either of those states. You go there for horse races and maple syrup. (I was born in Albany).
