A married woman may go for a married man because she knows that if they get together her marriage is relatively safe, as long as both want to stay married. If they are looking to cheat, finding someone in a similar position makes it more desirable. Single women go for married men probably because of self-esteem issues. If a man chooses you, even though he's married, obviously you must be wonderful and attractive, and definitely better than the wife (or at least that's the theory). And, contrary to popular belief, some women have commitment issues too, and a married man is in no position to commit.

My friend fell for a married guy. She didnt do it intensionally. They just grew close and went from being good mates to lovers. After time she found out she was expecting his child. they planned to leave partner and his wife. when it was time to go, he couldnt go through with it. Since then she has had nothing but heart ache regarding this man. Their child is now five and the married man has never helped her out financailly and his wife has threatened the child.. My friend has been left totally devastated and believes that she will never trust anyone ever again. She learnt a hard lesson. She listened to his lies and like most women wanted to believe them. I dont think its nieve, i think she the ideal man and hthe perfect world. Now she has a beautiful child who is the image of his father. its just a shame that he isnt man enough to take the same responsibilities for the child as she is.

there are serious issues on this one...

some women does it cause they are not aware of the guys status, they were being lied to. there are plenty of liars out there. some say, they are separated but they are going home to their loyal wife and young children.

some women go for it cause they do not want serious commitment. if he is married, she don't have to live with him. all she do is get what he can provide or supply. she keep her stuff and don't want to share her freedom with anyone.

some do it cause there is no obligation. she can do whatever she wanted without other significant hovering, meddling and poking with her business.

some do it for cruel intention, being selfish or conceited. thinking only themselves and not worry about the faithful wife taking care of the hubby and children and what devastation or impact it will caused the relationship. they think they can get what they wants and have a proof at that.

some do it to instigate havoc in other people's lives. some do it cause of their background, same pattern with their family or they previous relationship, they are not aware that what they do is not right. some do it cause they are lonely. some is psychologically ill. some do it for revenge, some do it for fun..

Carrying on from what Salome said, I think the cruel intention is a big incentive. Knowing that that can 'steal' a man from another woman does encourage some women. As it does to some men. But the men know that they risk being punched in the mouth. so its less popular.

It's just for their amusement.Some people find it exciting trying to manipulate a person to stray from their partner.It gives them a thrill to take what belongs to someone else.Woman seem to be more competitive than men when it comes to this.
