If an illegal Mexican immigrant can sneak into our country, it would be just as easy for a terrorist to do so. After all, there is big evidence that members of Hezbollah have already covertly entered the USA.

Stop putting your noses into other countries business..Stop attacking countries under the guise of terrorist threats...stop lying to the people, not just Americans, but rather on a global scale....

You don't see terrorism in most countries, only in the ones whom are always putting their noses where they don't belong...

Be truly safe from terrorists? Sure, call all the Americans who are abroad, including the troops; expell all foreigners living in the US at the moment. Seal all your borders, lock your doors and windows. Shut off the US to the rest of the world. Do not import or export any goods, or ideas. How does that sound?
Do you believe that terrorists were born with a hatred towards USA? What do you think has triggered them? Why aren't they targeting Chile or Uruguay for example? Can you guess?

Hello........ No matter how much money is pored to increase border security, I truly believe that there are SLEEPING terror cells all over North America. Our best chance, if not only chance to start changing the perception of People from other countries is for our Military to show compassion, help and true caring throughout the world. Every time we put hate out there; we increase the dangers 10 folds if someday those sleeper cells are put into action. This is just round no 1. Do on to others as we want done for us: compassion, caring, giving and forgiving, etc. To my knowledge, it is the only way we have of reaching out beyond to sleeper cells.

even as the international isn't safer, it really is bigoted (and extremely petty) to blanket the US with the blame. What do i imagine desires to be done? straight forward. enable the UN to have the potential to get rid of dictators instead of in basic terms containing them. i do not for a second trust that the US requested for the 9/11 attacks. it quite is short sighted. the area is that we wrestle by technique of a algorithm adversarial to communities and persons who smash those guidelines to attain their objective. many human beings criticize the conflict in Afghanistan, and beauty why we are not reaching the wanted consequences. once we construct a bridge or a school or a street way, the terrorists spoil it. we strive to wrestle back, and our personal inhabitants complains that we are not there doing what we are despatched to do. the easy actuality is that the international isn't safer because all of us trust that all of us comprehend added effective than quite everyone else. I propose this on a nationwide and a man or woman count. earlier 1939, human beings left a tyrant named Adolf Hitler on my own till it became in basic terms about too previous due, and seem what occurred then. Have we forgotten that once a tyrant arises interior the international, even as communities use terror to get there way, that the international is worse of if we "go away them on my own"? No. We ought to face as a lot as those monsters.

Rather than building an ever higher real and virtual wall around your country to keep 'unsavory' people out, and so isolate the US further from the rest of the world it would be far more productive to tackle the reasons WHY those would want to enter.
The US has about TWENTY THOUSAND miles of borders and coastline - trust me, if someone wants in, they will find a way to do so....so the only option really is to get them to change their mind and not WANT to.....thats only going to be done through dialogue and not, incidentally, bombing their country back to the stone age...lets face it someone did that to you, youd be pissed too...

It does seem strange with the terrorist threat that very little is being done to protect our borders and inspect comtainers that are imported.

The House Democrats in Congress passed a bill to finally institute the 9/11 Commission security recommendations-the Republican Congress never tried. There is talk and then, there's action. Don't be fooled.

I agree with desiree, we will never ever be completely protected from terrorism. That is one of reasons why people will say that its only a matter of time before were attacked again. But our border security is a freaking joke and needs to be overhauled.

there never has been, and never will be, any such thing as being "truly" safe from terrorists. the concept of 'border security' will only provide a false sense of security to anyone foolish enough to think a big wall is gonna keep anyone out

One has nothing to do with the other. Terorist get into the US by the regular routes like civilans, if necessary by using fake passports.

"Sneaking" into this country is frought with danger and lots of people die trying. Sealing of the borders has more to do with xenophobia than terrorism.
