Hmmm...somewhat like Republicans...and Democrats. The Republicans (battery) provide all the wealth (power)...while the democrates (light bulbs) use it all up.

I bet your teacher will like that one... (smiling)

Start by researching circuitry. They both have ways of moving power. A battery tends to generate power, while a lightbulb reacts and lights up due to generated power, but also generates in that it gives off light and heat.

You can't because there really isn't one. Either can exist quite nicely, and perform their intended task, independent of the existence of the other.
