Are these people just giving others little made up stories and telling them the obvious ?

It's a lot about the obvious. People ask questions but don't really think about them before asking. Experience in life helps. It's the same about dreams. Using the available information, one can have an idea what the dream may be about to the dreamer. Psychic abilities are genuine but are not about entertainment and are only used when there is a purpose in mind.

A lot of people are indeed conmen, they learn to read your body language when you are talking with them, and when they notice a slight twitch of your hand, a small look out of the corner of your eye when they say something to you, that tells them they are on the right track and keep pressing the subject. When they are wrong, they can also tell by what you do with your body (hands, fidgeting, biting your lip etcetera) and use that to steer away from the subject and try a different approach until they have one that works.

The idea of psychics has not really been confirmed or denied, because much of the brain is still unknown to us, and always will be, but there are instances when certain people can sense things others can't.

I do not claim to be psychic at all, but I have known a lot of things from what people are doing in another country, and 80% of the time, am right.

Anyone who tries telling you something about yourself here is only guessing, because it takes a lot of will power to ever see something another person is doing a fair distance from you.
The only thing I can tell you about you, even though I am guessing now, is that earlier this morning, you were wearing a blue wool jumper (sweater if you are American) and were a little upset about a conversation you had with a friend during school today, one of you were worried about your next test results?
(Again, only a guess)

99% of psychics are fake even if they believe their not, I belong to a psychic circle and have been practising for four years and I get some things right more than just luck but I would not put myself up on a stage and try to give readings because I know I am still rubbish. I do know a lot of so called psychics but only one or two are any good.

Your into Lost and you don't like the idea of some women going for married men , LOL oh that's me being a detective, and isn't that what psychics tend to do and look for the obvious !! :-)

Back in college, I would get these unusual sensations to make me look up only to see several seconds later this one beautiful student. This happened several times. I told my friends about it. It was highly unusual, but I have long been in tune with nature and other coincidence.

Eventually I got up the courage to say hi to her, and basically left the chatter to that. She was definately a 10 but later came on to me at a Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet show and we started dating.

She alluded to working for the government, and other events lead to that conclusion. At the time, I didn't think too much of it as I'm a government-award-winning student from a Department of Defense Dependents School who has dated my share of brats. Whereever I went there was a DoD kid wanting to date me.

The government has looked into phenomenon such as Remote Viewing and other behavior modification techniques they can think of.

Scientifically, electrons that have been in contact can influence each other at great distances. Imagine this is the case for twin psychic experiences as well as the mother/child 6th sense.

Some of the smartest people in the world don't rule out alternatives that the average folk are completely clueless to. Prayer has been shown in studies to improve the health of heart patients.

No-one is really psychic, but some may have been messing about with the occult and thus influenced by the wicked spirit realm. Doubt psychics but dont doubt evil spirits exist.

No one is psychic. its 100% fraudulent.

Those who claim to be are either liars, conmen or mentally ill.

ghosts, ghoulies, evil spirits...its all total nonsense, but I guess you know that as you put your question in mythology and folklore.
