I'd stick with the Sony.
A friend recently got a mac because she heard they were user friendly. Didn't really turn out that way for her. She has more trouble doing tasks than she did with a pc. And the mac cost almost twice what a pc would have.

i've got had a Macbook and that i've got a Sony Vaio now. i admire the Sony way greater suitable than the Mac. don't be fooled via the Mac call... the Vaio is a lot greater effective. it is speedier and would not take a damn rocket scientist to function like the Mac does.

If you can afford it then def go with the MAC, the new Intel chip allows them to run Windows even while running OSX and according to some test's the new Windows Vista is running better on the MAC's than any other notebook.

I have the new 2.33 myself I do graphic design, I also have a dell that was given to me by work..and also a desktop I built myself and out of all of them I love the MAC the most.

My next purchase will be a MAC Pro Desktop

Mac is definitely better. I see nothing but problems with Sony Vaios.

The Sony will have Windows installed, whereas the Mac will have another operating system. If you like windows, I would recommend the Sony.
