Do you even know what Sharia Law is? How on earth could it spread to the US? It's not something you can catch or just fall into.

Sharia Law is traditional Islamic law. Like most religious cultures (including that which currently exists in the US, that is Christianity), Islam classically drew no distinction between religious and secular life. There should be a distinction between the two, but there is not (eg, gay marriage and creationism).

Hence Sharia covers not only religious rituals, but many aspects of day-to-day life. This is no different to what we currently have with Christianity (for example, national holidays for Christmas or Easter, current marriage laws and family law). We do not oppose this as this is not only religious, but has become part of the culture.

Sharia applies to mainly Muslim countries. It is important to distinguish between culture and religion and not judge both at once. Also, we should look at ourselves and our record for separating the two before we can judge others.

So in conclusion, to answer your question after this rant: IF the ideal of Sharia Law was demanded by the American people then it would go ahead and I would not fight it. By then the culture might have shifted and people would not feel threatened by it. However, I think it is unlikely/impossible given the choke-hold religion has on the current governing bodies (Christiany, Judaism etc.) and the way our culture is currently.

Anything is possible, but many things are unlikely. To have sharia law in the US, we would have to tear up the constitution. It is simply not feasible. Worry about things that have happened, or might happen - don't worry about this. You are more likely to be struck by lightning and win the lottery on the same day than see sharia law here in your lifetime.

Fight immediately.....I would be considered a Pagan and have no choice but to fight.

So all know I am not answering from ignorance. I have studied the Quran. Though not as I have studed the Bible and many other books of Religous beliefs. I have also spoken with one who knows "Sharia" law and it would be open season on Pagans. In fact it would become dangerous for anyone not within the "People of the Book" meaning the Old Testament or Torah.

Fight. If I lived in the US, it would be because of its ideals. the 1st amendment specifically forbids the state endorsing any one religion, and thus forbids passing any parts of the shari'a into law. I would then be free to resist a tyrannous state by any and all means, through the courts and by the force of arms if need be.

To boot, I am pagan and nobody will take away my right to eat pork and drink booze.

If America endorsed Sharia Law, the 'USA' will have ceased to exist. The idea of a theocratic society is repugnant to the ideals of a Republic and a Democracy.

Obama isn't a Muslim, sorry. And what does repealing DADT probably ought to do with Sharia regulation? If he fairly supported Sharia regulation he would were hostile to repealing DADT, no longer for it. Moron.

Yes, I'd fight! All the way! But it would be fun to see how England will deal with it since they seem to be preparing for it even now!

I am sure most people would fight - I would.

This speculation is why I don't understand all of the opposition to our military action against the psychos that threaten to do just that. Go figure.

What do you think? I would kill every last one of those people that were trying to get that started over here.

AND IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN
