Matt Millen is horrible at drafting and evaluating talent. He has done close to nothing to improve the team. Ford doesn't do anything about it, like firing Millen.

Well, Ford lets Millen stay year after year. Millen is the worst GM ever. He repeatedly takes a receiver or a surprise first round pick. I think that I could probably be a better GM than he is. I think that Detroit could be a .500 team in 3 or 4 years if they fired Millen. I really dont get what Ford sees in him.

There are several foctors at work here. See the answers above in repsect to the poor draft picks (truly atrocious). Also, the team does not actively go after 1st tier free agents. At what position can the Lions not use help? Yet they never seem to go for the top free agents. You build a team through the draft, free agency, and trades. Millen is failing miserably on all three fronts.

Ford mostly by not caring. Doesn't matter how bad the team is doing, because fans keep going. Perhaps you could argue the FANS are ruining it by still going? Millen is the GM and the team is LOSING CONSTANTLY. He is doing nothing successful to fix that. I'm not sure he is even TRYING to. He is clearly the worst GM in the league, if you don't believe me then look up the numbers they are the worst team since he became GM. If a team has little talent and keeps losing then it is clearly about the GM among other things.

he had 4 top ten picks he drafted 1 qb three wideouts, nasd 3/4 were busts expet roy williams. Also only two od them are on the team mike and roy willians ( Chareles Rogers, Free Agent, Joey Harrington, Miami Dolphins.

For starters, drafting one receiver after another when what they need is a quarterback.
Kinda like Atlanta.
