I would like to know how much a new teacher with a bachelor's degree can make as an average. I also would like to know if there are any places that pay teachers extremely well if they have only a bachelor's degree. And if the pay is extremely good, how much is it?

If you wanted to make a lot of money you should have chosen a different career. The average teacher salary varies from state to state and district to district. Generally speaking you should be able to make 25,000-35,000. You can get more specific by doing a search on teacher salaries and your state.

Some states like Fla. and Ga. are in desperate need of teachers and will sometimes pay a signing bonus and even pay some moving expenses.

I'm not a teacher, but I have friends who are teachers and my parents are.

As far as I know, and I'm in NY, I dont know what state your in, a bachelors is not enough. I think you need a teaching certificate, working on your masters.

However, if you only have your BA and your license, check into private schools. They may not pay that much, but you have to start somewhere.

California pays the best...but you will not be able to get a full position until you finish the credential requirements. My first year teaching, I was getting paid $3000 per month, with full medical benefits for my family and me...and I only had an intern credential. This was pretty good with only one BA and a state test under my belt.
