i have a couple of guppies and want to add 3 red eye tetra. Would that be a good idea? Will the red eye tetra attack them or pick on them? Thank You!

Those should go together just fine. No problems at all.

Tetras should be in groups of at least 6. They are schooling fish and they won't be healthy or happy any other way. Red eye tetras can also be fin-nippers, so they actually won't make very peaceful tank-mates for your long-finned guppies. (A lot of people think that all tetras are good community fish because the smaller ones are...but the larger species aren't always that peaceful!)

It's a fine idea as tetras are generally peaceful fish. Though, tetras like to be in larger groups of 8-15 fish.
