If you don't wear tight jeans, then why are you worried about panty lines?

Just wear hipsters or bikinis like regular teenagers. Thongs are for when somebody's looking at your booty with no pants on, and you are TOO YOUNG FOR THAT!!!!!

I appreciate your asking instead of just buying them, but for your mom's sake, just don't. You can wear cute undies without resorting to thongs.

And if you have to take your pants off, like when you're changing clothes, or sleeping over, or whatever, you don't wanna look like a skank. I've been in enough locker rooms to know that even if you're comfortable with your body, regular bikinis or hipsters are better than thongs. And if your pants get wet (oh, you never know when they'll get wet), you want your butt covered. You will feel like such a fool if you have on wet clothes and a thong under there.

One day, thongs will be fine. And a light will shine upon you and you'll just...know.

But until then, leave those things to the big girls and wear something appropriate.

At 13 are panty lines really that important? Why do you want to hide your underwear choice from your parents or even more ridiculous is getting introuble over underwear. If you want them, then talk to your mom about it. I think you should be able to wear a thong whenever a person feels like wearing it. Its just another story if a 13 year is actually planning on showing anybody her thong. Thats very inappropriate if so.
Its just underwear, not a big deal at all. If it is, ask yourself why its so important, hopefully its not just to fit in. Because its nobody's business what your wearing.

If you havn't even worn cute junior's underwear(hipsters, boy shorts, low rise, etc.)you should go buy some of those first. You can buy some really cute, comfortable underwear w/o lines at places like Target, Kohls, the mall. Try something closer to your age before you jump into the big girl stuff. There's no point unless ur already doing stuff with a guy...and if you are...thats kinda slutty. Many girls nowadays are trying to grow up a little tooo fast. Slow down and enjoy your childhood- try being cute before sexy-guys like that a lot. What real guys don't like are girls who only show off their stuff before their personality and try to act 10 years older.Just give it a little time. Buy some new underwear w/ your mom or friends, but theres no rush to get a thong.

Well I wear thongs but I didnt start wearing them at 13, more like 16. I think you need to be a little bit older so you can make these decoins for yourself instead of worrying about what your moms gonna think if you do wear them but if your that serious about it try a different style of underwear like bikini or low rise until your a little bit older and good luck.

Do whatever you feel you must do. But my sister wears them and I don't. And I don't ever want to. Who wants something up your butt? The right undies do not give panty lines. I always ask my sister, like isn't your butt cold when the wind blows? And how many times I've seen some girl's thong showing above her jeans or through her dress. It's like the ultimate of tacky. But I don't think they could be very comfortable. But you can only decide that for yourself!

i started to wear my first thong at 14 my mom didnt know i even had one so when she found it she thought it was one of my friends. after that she brought me to victorias secret and left me get all the thongs i wanted. im 15 and they are the only type of undies i wear. next time you are going clothes shopping tell your mom you also need new underwear. thats the first thing out of my moms mouth when we are in a mall. "do you want new underwear." just make sure no ones sees them. its very embarrassing.

I got mine when i was 13. I mainly wear them when i wear pants from lululemon (you know, the tight black athletic pants?) Anyway, there's really nothing wrong with them. it just depends on how you feel about them. Don't worry about what others will think. Oh, and I didn't buy one with my mom. I went with my friends. it makes it more relaxing. Unless you're close with your mom. Anyway, Thongs are really uncomfterble at first, like having a permanent wegie, but you quicklyt get used to them, and a lot of girls wear them these days, they just are too afraid to admit it. So, I say that you should totally go for it!

If your mom says no, well, mama knows best. If you buy it without asking her first, though, she may be hesitant to confiscate it....

Make sure you actually WANT a thong, first, though. Not everybody is wearing them; a lot of my friends find them uncomfortable. If you actually like the way it feels, go for it. If you want it for sexual reasons... well, it is probably a bit too early. But don't let me stop you.

Are you sure everyone at your school is also wearing a thong? If yes, you can tell your mom that and reason with her. If she says no, you should not get it with your friends and hide it from her. She would be dishonest and lying to her. What if she finds out?

You're a little young to be even thinking about thongs. People rarely see your underwear, so does it really matter what you have on underneath? I'm 26 and I have never worn a thong. I don't plan to either. :
