the final run to the subway station at queen street finshes off a long day of shopping. people are running from various locations in the eatons centre. val runs at 2.5 for 200s. How fast must Anna run to cover the same distance in 150 s?

Well, you seem to have left out the units on Val's speed but it doesn't matter. The setup is the same.
distance=velocity*time

So you multiply Val's speed times the time she was running to get the distance she traveled. Then to find the speed Anna must run simply divide Val's distance by the time Anna has to make the trip.

Anna's Velocity = Val's Distance/ Anna's Time
