Heres the full story from earlier, help me!
I met a girl, we ended up living together more or less straight away and she was VERY keen to have sex all the time. We didn't use protection, and she soon said she was pregnant. She then told me she had a water infection, and thats why she showed up as positive, and she broke it off with me. Her friends told me I was just bieng used by her she was desperate to get pregnant. About two months later I found out she was indeed pregnant!! she claimed it was someone elses who she get with straight after me. (within days of our last 'encounter') and she was very defensive about talking about dates etc.... I have now found out that the baby has a hole in its heart, and they are having to induce her early. If she is 30wks + then the baby is defo mine. So two things, can you have a pregnancy test that is positive, if you have a water infection? and how should I proceed in proving I am the father? is there an agency that can help me?

A water infection? Not even a real thing. You can insist on a paternity test, you have had a sexual relationship and you believe the baby is yours.

What's a water infection? That sounds ridiculous. Your gonna have to get a lawyer. There may be an agency out there that can help you but you need legal advise. Find a lawyer that handles child custody and go for a consultation. Some lawyers do this for free and some charge a nominal fee. Get out the phone book and make some calls. You definatley will need a DNA test.

i have never heard of a water infection. have you ever thought that maybe she cheated on you while you were together or that she could have been pregnant before you got together? I don't know why they would induce her if the baby has a hole in it's heart. I knew a man once who's baby had a hole in it's heart and they let her carry it to full term because it's going to need it's strength for a lot of upcoming surgeries. to prove that the baby is yours you will have to get a DNA test done once the baby is born. you will more than likely have to go to court to get visitation rights, but you will also have to pay child support then. i hope you or the mother have some great insurance because this is going to be one expensive child. my friend had to stay in the military just to be able to pay for his baby's surgeries.

I would requset a DNA be done ASAP and if they have done an amenio they can use the DNA from that to ge the results before the baby is born. i woul think abiout getting lawyer so you don't get swept under the rug,and so you can have a say in things if the baby is indeed yours and you have medical things you both need to think about and hopefully you can get along for the sake of the baby and she can see that a baby needs a father too. Good fro yu ofr wanting to take responsibility of this baby and good luck..

She seems to have succeeded in using you to become pregnant. I have NEVER in my life heard of a water infection. She lied to you. You need to petition your county's family court system to ask for a paternity test upon the birth of the child. This should not be a problem especially if you could get someone to testify that they knew the two of you were 'intimate". please do this soon so that the baby can have you in his/her life. I commend you for your concern. Some men would just exhale and look the other way. Good luck!

I have no idea what a water infection is! never heard of such a thing! There is no way to know if you're the father until after she delivers and she consents to a DNA test. Furthermore, if you are the fatehr you will be willing to take responsibility for a child with a hole in her heart? that's a huge responsibility that requires surgery (read: MONEY!).. are you ready for that?

I assume a water infection is a urinary tract infection? If that's the case that wouldn't give you a positive.
You would have to go to court to order a paternity test.

Consult a lawyer
Ask about paternity testing, and parental rights. You can probably even fight for full custody of the child if it turns out she lied to you about paternity. Good luck, and you WILL need a lawyer.
