Coming from a Montreal fan this is not easy for me to say but yes Savard is underated, I'd love to see him in a Habs uniform. He is a hell of a player.

he is 10th in the league in points just so you know, and there is a simple reason why he didnt make the all star game. Next time there is a bruins game, check how many people are in the stands. They average about 13,000 a game, a pretty low number for such a rich history franchise. If few people come to the game, what makes you think they will watch the all star game with him in it? Its all marketing. Did you wonder why in every skills competition there was a Sabre in a challenge? Its because Buffalo is the city watching the most NHL right now, and they know Buffalo is going to watch the skills competition.

Yeah maybe if he played in Buffalo and the Home alone fans had jammed his name in the electronic ballot box he'd have been there.

He did deserve to go but the league decides they have to try and represent as many teams on the ice as they can. An awesome talent who'll get his chance eventually.

I'd rather not see players from my team at the all star game. The rest and relaxation away from playing is needed more for the stretch run to the playoffs coming up.

i'd have to say so. savard needs some decent linemates,he it great with assists but because the bruins aren't doing well this year i would say savard definitely is under the radar. look how he did with hossa in atlanta and how hossa's game is suffering this year without savard's help, i'd say he missed the all star game because not enough fans voted him in. put savard on any Canadian team and the man is in for sure

He wasn't a Sabre? Look at Fluery, third vote getter among Goalies and look how good he has been since Christmas. Maybe that All-Star Snub encouraged him. Either way there were a couple of players that could have CLEARLY replaced the players that WERE put in by the NHL.
