Stop the negative hype! Video games are healthy for your children! Let them play with others, solve quests, learn how to work in a team, and socialize! Runescape is no harm - he will infact learn! Just don't let him play so much that he wont do his school work :D

Well, it's not particularly bloody, though it is possible to interract with other players, so if the child understands what is appropriate behavior in IM sorts of situations, then it's suitable enough. Another game to try could be battleon.com, since it is an easy, fun game with no gore and no real interraction with other players.

I don't think so. Children can mess up play for others. They may not follow proper chatting rules and can become a nuisance. At times the game can become complex and they could get lost.

Battleon.com would be better you don't chat with others. That's the game I let my son play.

If your child wants to play RuneScape then let him but set boundaries like only let him play it 30 minutes a day or something like that, but all in all I let my son play it for only a certain amount of time

I played Rune Scape when I was younger.. I actually still play occasionaly. It has alot of stuff to do in it, and when it comes to the other people on there, everything is sensored (just in case you are worried about vulgar language) It is really fun to play and i think it teaches probem soulving in a way because you have to build everything, as in stronger weapons and armor

Suitable, but very boring as well, I wouldn't recommend the waste of time.
