NO, not a good idea.
As it is, this system would not run vista (well, in any usable manner). To upgrade the RAM would improve things a bit, but would cost you about $100 more. You would also probably need a new video card, which would run another $100 (at minimum).

Forget Vista on that one without some upgrades. It may (repeat may) be a good deal depending on what else is in it plus what software it has. If it comes wiped, walk away. If it has XP, up the memory to 512 and have a computer that will be good for a couple of years.

By the time you buy the RAM and buy vista you could have easily bought a new dell or gateway with vista installed and plenty of memory. I would just buy new.

No, it isnt worth it. About 150 more plus shipping will buy you a new cheap dell with a monitor that will run vista.

Assuming the demonstrate screen is a tft (Flat demonstrate) I recon attempt to be able to get £three hundred for it, in case you promote it interior the paper. I also assume the Deskjet 6500 is a printer, which will genuinely help to promote it. human beings lie to purchase all in a unmarried applications.
