I know many schools who allow pajamas for certain activities. Sometimes they have 'pajama day' during spirit week before homecoming and I know of several grade school classes who have 'pajama day' as a reward for hitting a particular goal as a class. I think this is acceptable as long as it is not a casual everday occurance.

Students should NOT be allowed to wear pajamas to school. They're not at home, they're at school. What's next, wearing pajamas to work and church? If parents can't find something comfortable for their kids to wear to school, and yet suitable at the same time, then they're just being lazy. And any school district that would condone pajamas in class is being ran by a bunch of fruit-loops. Are the teachers and school administrators wearing pajamas too?

If all students wear their pajamas to class, they will be able to learn in a less stressful environment. Students who are poorer than others don't have to worry about having name brand clothes and shoes and it doesn't restrict the students like uniforms do. The students are allowed to show their own creativity and individuality by wearing the pj's of their choice (style and color).

You've got me. But now a days kids go to school to play, talk on the phone, disrespect the teacher & more. They forgot that school is to learn, after all look at the stats. The U.S. has the poorest level of education in the world. That I believe is because we let the children run things instead of the adults. My grandma use to teach school, one day a student walked in & told her to f**k off. She turned in her resignation the next day. She relized that the adults were no longer in control.

It's the same idea as celebrating birthdays in the classroom - it's making the classroom feel like a more personal, fun place to be. The thought is that if the kids want to be in the classroom, and it's a place that they can have both enjoy and learn, they are more likely to succeed.
They are kids, not robots, afterall.
