Am going to Vietnam but would like to also visit Cambodia - specifically Siem Reap. Bangkok Airways flies all over the region but not to Vietnam.

Vietnam Airlines flies between Hanoi (HAN) and HCMC (SGN) to/from Seam Reap (airport code REP). If you want to search on line, use Expedia as the other websites lie Travelocity or Orbitz do not service those routes.

Staring on February 17, there is an upscale bus line that serves the HCMC-Seam Reap route at a bargain price, about 1/10 to 1/20 of the cost of an air ticket:

" A bus company in Ho Chi Minh City is set to open a high-quality bus route to Cambodia’s Seam Reap province starting Feb 17, the first of its kind departing from Vietnam’s southern metro.

Saigon Passenger Transportation Company (Sapaco Tourist) said the bus, running two times per week would cross the international border gate of Moc Bai in Tay Ninh province to enter Cambodia.

Sapaco Tourist which operates on the HCMC-Phnom Penh route also provides passengers with traveling guidance.

With a distance of 550km between HCMC-Siem Reap, the trip would take 8 hours and cost US$20 per one-way ticket and $36 for a round one.

Tickets are available at 197 or 309 Pham Ngu Lao Street, District 1."

You'll need to scroll the page way down to find it.

Vietnam Airlines flies between Vietnam and Cambodia. It's approx 120USD plus 14USD Departure tax (from Vietnam).

If you're heading to Bangkok, try www.airasia.com. They fly Bangkok - Phnom Penh for around 40USD then get the ferry or bus to Siem Reap.

If your only in Vietnam and on a budget, try the bus from HCMC to Phnom Penh (approx 12USD) then bus or ferry to Siem Reap. This will obviuosly add a day or two off travel time.

Good luck and have fun!

I am not sure what are you asking about. If you want to know how to travel the Southeast Asia, ask your Asian friends near you. They might have better tips for you.
