try a new haircut or style. do some lowlights or highlights - don't do a drastic hair color change. go to a make up counter at a department store and ask them to show you some new colors - look for a new lipstick, eye shadow, or eyeliner. don't look at buying new clothes. check out your closet and look for the things that you don't wear that much. do you not wear them because you just don't like them? find some new jewelry that makes the outfit pop or maybe a scarf. buy some new belts, belts are great this season, wear it with a thinner sweater that is boring by itself. new shoes are also a great way to go - this is one of my favorite things. something that i do often is to look at my closet and find things that i need. do you have a great pair of pants that might be an odd color and you only have maybe one top to go with it? take it with you the next time you go shopping. do you have a great pair of black pants that you love, but are starting to fade? get some dye and get them looking great in just 30 minutes. you make a list when you go food shopping, why not make a list for the clothes or accessories that you need. if you see something on tv that you like, see if it would work with what you have and then add it to your list. also, when you are shopping look at things that you normally wouldn't try on - a lot of times we just get in a habit of buying the same styles and colors over and over again! good luck and have fun!!!

I felt the same way last week. And I had a haircut scheduled for last Tues. I let her talk me into some blond highlights in my dark brown hair. The difference was huge! here it is days later and all I can still say when I look in the mirror is "wow". And with already paying for cut and style, it really was not that much more. Good luck!

Well, since I'm a beauty expert, i suggest you do something with your hair. You can wave, or perm it, or maybe even do something like put it up with a clamp. Dying your hair can be an icon, but if that's too much for you, think of layering and highlighting it. You'll look like an absolute superstar, just from your hair.
If you don't want to do something with your hair, then you can do something with your fashion. you maybe can wear bangles, and maybe even pierce your ears if you don't have. I shoot for the dangly earrings look and the bangs pass your eyebrows look. But, it all winds up to you... should you just do something with your outside, or change a little on the inside. You decide.

Wear your hair up! There's lots of neat ways to do that. Or put in a few streaks or just color it a different color. Recombine your existing clothes. See if you can find new ways to wear the same things, but pair them with different tops or bottoms. Either dress up or dress down. Feature boots instead of shoes. Or wear leggings with your skirts. Layering can do a lot. Play with color accents. Or dress all in one color, say brown, and accent with turquoise jewellry. Have fun! Create something from nothing!

Try a different hair style...that will definetely bring a change in your looks. Go for some bangs or shorter hair or highlights or perm...whatever suits you and fancies you! Try using scarves or big beaded chains, different sun glasses...you will look more trendy and definetely different!
Good Luck!
