There are a couple of people in my life who drain me physically to the point of exhaustion and nausea. They're whiny, negative, self centered etc. But other whiny people don't drain me like this. Mostly one particular old man and sometimes someone else. Are they energy vampires or just a drag?

There is, and that is probably one of the basis for the current vampire myth in the world. They are people, like you said, who are self-centered and continually talk on about things which you ahven't any interest in, over-staying their welcome in their house because they feel a need to be close to you, that you could help them in some way.
The draining sensation you have, is what I experienced a lot with one friend, who was much like some of the people you were talking about (almost 100%), and they can se that energy they get from you to boost their own energies to the point they are no longer depressed, annoyed, angry, worried, but they are unaware they are even doing it, which is why they always go to you to tlak with all the time instead of others they know, like you make them 'whole' again.

Being around someone that has that much negative energy can be draining to someone that has a lot of positive energy in their life. Since you do not know how to defend yourself from this I would suggest you avoid them.

I make a sort of psychic vampire, though I do not call them that. I send them against people that I want to hurt. I send them to attach themselves to an enemies aura and draw off good energy. Results are sickness, tiredness, etc. It can be a difficult thing to do as you have to keep it up daily and if the person is strong.

Hope this helps.

Liquids flow from the high point to the low one, heat flows too so it follows that emotional and spiritual energies, for example, transfer between people. You actually feel the loss of energy and all ills and diseases stem from or correspond to a shortage of energy supplied to a whole, or a part of our system, Thus people gobbling your vital energy make you sick--literally; it is not a myth or folklore. Weather you call such people vampires or just a drag doesn't matter--rose under any name smells the same. If you can't avoid such people please consider learning some energizing techniques. Be well.

Yes , Have you ever noticed when you walk into a room where people were fighting that you can feel the energy is tense and uncomfortable. Negative people drain your energy and it makes you feel weak and tired and all of a sudden depressed. The best thing to do if you have to be around someone like that is to cover yourself with white light to deflect the negative energy. Try and get away from those people as soon as you can and imagine positive energy filling you like a white light comming down from the sky and filling every pore of you and breathe in white energy and breathe out dark negative energy. Good luck!

I don't know about the specific term "energy vampires," but I do know there are people out there that do drain people of energy, consciously or unconsciously. It is possible to drain someone without realizing it. It's just safer to avoid those people if possible. If not possible, bring it up to them in a nice way, maybe they didn't even realize that they were doing it. I've encountered a few people that drain the energy out of me, but it's safer to avoid them, if at all possible. Surround yourself with positive people, and the positive energy will help counteract the negative. Good question.

They are quite real, and more common than one might think. However the majority of them never know that they are as such. Most who do know don't intientionally drain from people without consent. There are a few, however, that do. They have no moral or ethical objections to draining from anyone, anyplace, anytime.

Sounds like the two you are dealing with are but they don't know it.

What's with all these questions about energy and psychic vampires?

You are the 5th person I've seen ask this strange question. Is this "Energy" vampire thing a NEW term for a particular type of characteristic within this underground subculture? Why must people feel the need to place a label on things? I just don't get it. I believe some people have sadly confused fantasy with reality.

I have the tendency to drain people nearly to death and I'm not professing to be a vampire.

A lot of people will probably say that they sometimes experience weird and unpleasant feelings after even a short conversation with others, whether it is a friend or a stranger. A person may feel fagged out and weary after such communication. As it turns out, these conditions can result from an "attack" of an energy vampire. Unlike fictitious vampires that climb out of their coffins at night and kill people drinking their blood, energy vampires need to absorb other people's energy.

Russian parapsychologist, Sergei Nikodimov, an expert of anomalous phenomena, is certain that energy vampirism is a part of every-day reality. "Numerous research works conducted by specialists of bioenergetics all over the world showed that all people can be conditionally divided into two major categories - vampires and donors. Each person radiates with live biological energy, which he or she can give to someone or take from someone. This quality of give and take forms with every human being during the moment of birth. If a baby is born as an energy vampire, this child is extremely capricious. When they grow, they try to follow parents everywhere on their heels and even try to sleep with them at night. As a rule, a person does not realize the need in other people's energy: the energy exchange happens on a subconscious level. However, a human body senses this invisible communication too and reacts with fatigue, headache, etc. A person may feel dog-tired at night and have absolutely no wish to get up in the morning. The loss of energy through human communication may also result in depression and weakened immune system," the professor said.
Sergei Nikodimov believes that energy vampires do not realize their harmful qualities. The majority of them may know nothing about dangerous effects that they show on other people: they act instinctively as a rule. "Energy vampires feel at times that they need to fill up their stock of biological energy just to be able to live well. They take this energy from the people around them, keeping up a normal state of health and damaging other people's physical state," the scientist said.
Energy vampires subconsciously provoke scandals to refresh themselves with the power of contradictions. Any person becomes defenseless in the sate of anger: this is exactly the moment, when vampires "feed themselves." They always try to visit the sites of tragic accidents. A lot of energy vampires can be passionate fans of sports games, such as football, for instance: huge stadiums accumulate a vast amount of psychic energy. Energy vampires hate being alone: they always need to have someone beside them, whom they can talk with at any moment. They usually say phrases like: "Stay with me a little, I am bored," or "Don't leave me alone, I'll die." In addition, they constantly want other people to feel sorry for them, which irritates donors and makes them give their energy away to vampires.

Those are called Psychic vampires and yes they do exist. Also there are real vampires who drink blood. They don't have fangs though you can get your teeth sharpened into fangs for a lot of money. They drink blood from willing donors or blood banks. Psychic vampires just feed off the energy of other people.

They're energy vampires. Its nothing supernatural - just people who are a pain to end all pains...

Stay away from such people at all costs. Make no exceptions. Life is just too short..
