DNS is short for Domain Name Service. It is an Internet services that translates domain names into IP addresses. So every time you use a domain name "yahoo" lets say, the DNS will translate it into its corresponding IP address. Now to find it on your computer the easiest way is to go into your command prompt. If you are using Win Xp click on the "run" tab and enter "cmd" or you can go into all programs/accessories/command prompt. When the black box comes up and the cursor flashes type in ipconfig /all. That will come up with everything about you TCP/IP configuration. Also there is a space between ipconfig and the / symbol. Hope you find this helpful.
