Yes, they are. Iran is Shia, has cultural and religious links ot the Shia in Iraq, and historically wants revenge for the Iran - Iraq War (revenge against the Sunni). They have an obvious interest in seeing the Shia majority finally come to power in Iraq. That being said, I don't see much being made about the US, UK, and Western Europe arming and supporting Saddam and his Ba'athists while they were in power - murdering thousands, starting war with Iran, and using chemical weapons that we provided on their own people. So for Iran it's do as we say, not as we did....

Of course--and that's been out there for 4 years. But ask yourself this:

1) Why is Bush making a big deal of this now?
2) Why is Bush ignoring the fact that the Saudis are aaiding the Sunni militia?

Answer: When Bush's "surge" fails, he will need a scapegoat--otherwise Congress and the American people have made it clear their patience is at an end. By hyping the "Iran connection" he hopes to cast them as scapegoat--and suck us even further into his war of conquest by widening it to include Iram.

If they are the proof had better come from somewhere other than the current administration cuz no one is going to believe anything they say at this point.
