Okay, is this a full blown penis, or does she have an elongated clitoris?

She could be a hermaphrodite. They are born with both male and female parts. If this is the case, the penis isn't the typical working penis, it is a clitoris that is longer than normal. The parents generally raise them with a lean towards one gender or another, and they go through hormone therapy at puberty so that they don't seem 'out of place' with other classmates.
The benefit to all this (or downfall, depending on your view point) is that she cannot get pregnant, because all hermaphrodites are sterile.

The best course of action would be to confront her about this, but I ask you to be gentle with this subject. She is probably rather touchy about it. Wouldn't you be?

I hope this helps.

Have you talked to your girlfriend about this? Or did you get a glance and run straight to the computer to ask us?

Your girlfriend could be intersexed (physically has male and female traits), or could be a pre-operative male-to-female transsexual. The only way you're going to know is if you ask her! The point is that if she's presenting a female gender (which I figure she is, since you call her your girlfriend), then she is female, regardless if she was born in the wrong (male) body, or in an intersexed body.

Talk to her, don't be judgemental, and see what she has to say. If you feel you can't be with someone who has a penis, or you are angry that she lied to you/didn't tell you the truth in the beginning, you can leave her. But give her a chance to talk. And remember that if you stay with her, it doesn't mean you're gay or bisexual at all; she is a woman. You're only gay/bisexual if you like men, not if you like someone in-between.

Good luck.

You and your girlfriend need to have a talk if this is all that you know. Based on what you're giving us here, she could be intersexed, a crossdresser, pre-op transsexual, non-op transsexual, or generqueer of some sort. What you two need to do now is have a talk about that subject and find out what it means for the relationship. It may just mean that you'll have to go for the back door for a while or it could end up being something that puts an end to the relationship based on a lot of factors.
