What is the complete myth in which man is originally immortal and omniscient, but has these taken away?

As I recall, man has immortality taken away because he is lazy without a deadline (so to speak), and omniscience is taken away because then he knows the day of his death and is depressed all the time.

in Bhagavad Gita it is said that one can keep on guessing all the time and come up with many ideas but still will not reach the ultimate truth...

That's why to accept the truth directly from God or from bonafied Servants of God who pass Gods message without tampering with them is mentioned as best process...

all was taken away because of his vanity. not to obey, better than anyone else. and he bite the apple.
