Roses are red,
violets are blue,
if I had a brick,
I would throw it at you!
Well, my Dad swore that is the first poem he recited to my mum.
She threw him a brick, but had good aim. He awakened three days later in hospital, married.
(Dad would on occasion spin a yarn!)
