Since I was about 12 years old, I've always dreamed of working at American Eagle or Abercrombie and Fitch. I love fashion but I need to know if working in the retail biz is any fun at all. I mean, sure, the discounts are amazing, but is it really all it's perked up to be?

I have worked retail before and it is not fun. Customers are incredibly rude to you and treat you like crap. They basically assume that you are a complete and total idiot and that they are obviously far superior to you. Avoid retail jobs like the plague.

Working Retail is Great if you don't mind working weekends and evening. Working with the public is great especially when you help them with what they are looking for. To see a happy customer leave your store leaves a nice feeling inside.

I think it's fun, as long as you're not a shopaholic and want to buy everything that you're ringing up for the customer! If you are a shopaholic, stay away from working in that area of business.

No, it's actually more fun to buy the stuff there. I think if you were a teen needing a job it might suit you, but I mainly just like to shop not work.
