Dont get me wrong I am all for animal rights and protection, in fact I donate money every month to WSPA, but the PETA people seem to take everything too far, they dont do their research properly and they just seem a bit crazy hippy to me.

yeah i agree with you they take things way too far. i love animals but its just crazy how far they go. and if you go to there website peta kids it says stuff like unchain a dog day, some kid is going to get hurt badly!

They aren't just crazy, but scary! One time, on vacation, my friends and I were at the state fair and my friend was wearing a shirt that said "Chicken Licking Good". As we were walking around the fair, a PETA member splashed red paint on my friend and said "That's for the blood your shirt has cost!". I swear my friends and I had never been so scared before in our lives! We wound up getting the man arrested, but till this day I'm scared to go to the fair.
I'm all for animal rights, but there is a time when its no longer animal rights I'm worried about. When humans are violating over humans over a shirt that depicts a harmless saying about chickens, then I think society has a problem with its own causing harm to each other than harm toward animals!
And my question to PETA is that if they're so damn good with animal safety, than how come we still have horse fights in the united states? I think that is in need of much more attention then supposedly harmful shirts!

I am in complete agreement with you. While their core message is a good one, I think they have become soooo hypersensative and their responses have been so over the top as to severely damage their goals. I agree with the idea of ethical treatment, and of ending the uneccesary abuse of animals, whether it be in terms of testing or whatever, but it's hard nowdays to even have a rational conversation with people about these issues, because PETA has poisoned the well so to speak.

PETA KILLS ANIMALS. They don't care about animal rights. PETA supporters should do a little research into the subject, and support the ASPCA and the Humane Society.
Again. PETA KILLS ANIMALS. In fact, over 90% of the animals it says it 'helps' are actually killed by PETA employees.
I know I'll get thumbs down, but those will be from ill-informed people.

I agree. I'm all for animal rights and i wear faux furs and everything. I remember last year I tried the whole "vegan" thing. It lasted for about a month. Can you imagine life without milk, eggs, and honey? I'm a pescatarian, so i only eat fish, but come on, God put animals on the earth so that we can nourish ourselves... It's the cycle of life, and those PETA people need to realize that we have to live too!

They are not all crazy, but some are extremest on the issue and unwilling to see others' points of view. But a lot of people involved with PETA do a lot of great things to help animals that other people wouldn't even think twice about. It is good that they love animals so much, even though not as many people feel their level of passion.

DO NOT support PETA because they are crazy fanatics. They really don't care about animals or respect other people's choice or decision. Don't donate money to this organization, try giving it to a local animal shelters. Recently, PETA made headlines for killing 500 animals and just throwing them in a dumpster without euthanizing them. I' am not being bias, but please do not support this organization.

there is a fine line between being crazy and being passionate, some of them don't know which side of the line to stand on and they end up looking crazy
